Volubilis is an ancient Roman city which holds the best preserved and most visited archaeological remains of Morocco. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. It spreads over 40 hectares and is located 33 kilometres to the north of Meknes. Even though the best thing to do is walking around to discover the ruins, there are some essential points to watch such as the forum, the basilica, the Jupiter Temple, the baths and the amazing mosaics. Optional guided visit before the return to Fez around 07:00 p.m.
